Riyadh: The Saudi traffic department has announced the procedure to remove the vehicle from the record 20 years after the transaction.
According to Arab media, the state’s traffic department says that in order to remove a vehicle from the record of a 20-year-old owner, it is necessary to collect fines for traffic violations.
The department said that the registration of the said vehicle must be effective, to remove the record go to the center of the vehicle transaction document (analysis).
The Saudi traffic department said that the number plate and Astmara should be attached to the document so that the old vehicle could be removed from the record.
The explanation came at a time when a citizen had claimed that he had sold two cars of the old model 20 years ago, not remembering when the car was sold. There is no record of any traffic violation. What is the procedure for removing vehicles from their records?
It should be noted that section 16 of the Saudi Traffic Law stipulates that no fee is charged for a copy of a vehicle sold for the purpose of converting parts.
