Big blow for India team after series loss, 3 players including Rohit to return

India cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was injured in the second ODI against Bangladesh. The thumb of Rohit’s left hand was injured and he was taken to a scanner. Rohit will no longer be able to participate in the last match of the series and the chances of him getting a chance to play in the Test series are slim. After the end of the second match, the head coach Rahul Dravid informed about this.

According to PTI, after the end of the second match, Dravid said that Rohit will return to Mumbai to seek expert advice and will sit out the last match of the ODI series. Other than this, Dravid is also not sure if Rohit will be able to return for the Test series or not. Although there is no fracture in Rohit’s thumb, his injury could be serious.

According to the report to date, apart from Rohit, two more players from the Indian team will also return to Mumbai. Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Sen will also be sent back. While Deepak, who is playing the second ODI, is struggling with a hamstring problem, non-stopper Kuldeep Sen has a back injury. These three players can go back and report to the NCA.

Rohit was injured while fielding in the second half of the innings and was then taken to a scanner. He didn’t take the field again and then Virat Kohli made the start. Rohit decided to hit number nine because the team was in a lot of trouble. Playing an unbeaten 51 in 28 balls, Rohit moved India closer to victory, but was unable to cross the line. Rohit’s innings included three fours and five sixes. India needed 41 runs to win in the last two overs but had to face five-run defeat.
