IPL storage: The IPL 2024 auction will take place on December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time the auction is taking place abroad. But even before that, all 10 IPL teams have submitted the list of players they have retained and released to the IPL Governing Council. The Kolkata Knight Riders team has released a maximum of 12 players. While Punjab Kings have released the at least five players.

Each team’s purse has been increased by Rs 5 crore

The prize money for all teams for the IPL 2024 auction has been increased from Rs 95 crore to Rs 100 crore. This means that each team’s purse has increased by Rs 5 million. The Chennai Super Kings team has released 8 players for IPL retention. There are still 6 spots available on the team. After withholding, CSK remains at Rs 31.4 crore. Mumbai Indians have released 11 players and retained 16 players in IPA retention. In addition, Romario Shepherd was transferred to Lucknow Super Giants. Mumbai Indians currently have Rs 15.25 crore left in their wallets.

This team has the most money

Royal Challengers Bangalore has the most money left after the IPL withholding. The team is left with Rs 40.75 crore. RCB has retained 18 players, including Mayank Dagar, who was acquired from Sunrisers Hyderabad in a swap. Apart from that, 11 players were released. Gujarat Titans have the least money. The Gujarat Titans are left with Rs 13.85 crore.

There have been 16 seasons in IPL history so far in which the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won the title together five times each. The Kolkata Knight Riders team, on the other hand, has won the trophy twice. Deccan Chargers, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans have won the title once each.
