BCCI has announced the postponement of the Ranji Trophy, the Col CK Nayudu Trophy and the T20 Senior Women’s League for the 2021-22 season. This decision has been made in view of the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.
According to a BCCI press release, “The Ranji Trophy, the Col CK Nayudu Trophy and the T20 Senior Women’s League for the 2021-22 season will be postponed in light of the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.”

The Ranji Trophy and Col CK Nayudu Trophy were scheduled to begin this month, while the T20 Senior Women’s League was scheduled to begin in February.
According to the press release, BCCI does not want to compromise the safety of players, support staff, referees and other participants and has therefore decided to suspend all three tournaments until further notice. BCCI will continue to assess the situation and will make a decision on the start of the tournament accordingly.
