How does the smart little convenience store work?
Your shopping has never been so easy. Just like with Amazon Go, justenter the store, put your items in your bag and leave. To automate its system, Auchan collaborated with Chinese company Cloudpick.

Each shelf where the products are placed will then be weighed, which means that the store will know as soon as you pick up a product or when you put it back. Your movements will then be confirmed by a set of cameras. For payment, you will be automatically charged for the items you have chosen once you walk through the store door. Amazon takes it a step further with its Go store, since it also allows you to pay using your fingerprints. If the concept of a cashless store is successful, Auchan could soon launch others in France.
