Atlético closes its summer: return on July 7, Segovia and tour

The season has not ended yet but Atlético is already planning at the level of movements what will be its summer 2023. A summer with a return, that of the tour abroad, and a classic, the stay in Los Angeles de San Rafael. The rojiblanco team has set its return to work on July 7, with the medical tests and the first tests in the sports city of Cerro before moving to Segovia, where on this occasion, it will only stay for a week at the foot of the slope of Professor Ortega. In the other, the training sessions will take place in Madrid.

The rojiblancos players will enjoy just over a month off (The Santander League ends on the weekend of June 3 and 4, with the dispute of the last day) in general except the internationals that play the League of Nations, the qualifiers for the Eurocopa 2024 or friendlies in the third week of June that will really lower the curtain on a season marked by the atypical: a World Cup played from November to December. The rojiblancos footballers who participate in these commitments with their teams will have a little more than three weeks of vacation.

From Korea to Mexico and the United States

After that passage through San Rafael, the rojiblanco team will face a “normal” post-COVID preseason for the first time, with friendlies as in previous summers, but also the return of the tour with displacements of the squad in Mexico and the United States and a country that has never, in its 120-year history, yet visited: South Korea. The Cholo team, who ends his contract at the end of next season with the rojiblanco club, by the way, if there is no renewal this will be his last summer at Atlético, will play against City in the 2023 edition of the ‘Coupang Play Series’ in Asiawhich will mark the beginning of that tour, from July 25 to August 6, which will also take them to Mexico and the United States to face Sevilla and Real Sociedad. The return will be just a week before LaLiga begins, the weekend of August 12-13 when the summer will be over for the rojiblancos, although not yet on the calendars.
