Argylle: The spy film is the first big flop of 2024

After the success of the franchise Kingman, Matthew Vaughn tried to explore the expanded universe by revealing the mysterious to us Argyle, a somewhat borderline spy comedy, but overall quite nice. The feature film brought together very big names, including Bryan Cranston, Bryce Dallas Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Dua Lipa and Sam Rockwell in sales department. Argyle was one of the few films on which Apple had invested just as much money Flower Moon Killer And Napoleon.

Product for an XXL budget of 200 million dollars, Argyle arrives at the end of the course and accumulates the very small sum 94 million dollars at the end of its operational journey on a global scale. The film by Vaughn didn’t even make its production budget profitable and may have resulted in the company losing a gigantic jackpot Universal.

Difficult, considering that the post-credits scene openly teased a connection between the spies of Kingman And Argyle (via a The King’s Man advert). It seems the British filmmaker needs to put his whims aside and refocus on what fans expect most: A Kingsman 3Resuming the adventures ofEggsy (Taron Egerton) and from Harry Hart (Colin Firth). There are currently no release dates for the latter project, although it appears to be currently under consideration.
