Apple will no longer support these iPhones from iOS 16

Every year, Apple releases a new version of its iPhone operating system. The next iteration will be iOS 16 which, despite not being released until mid-2022, is already headlining.

Specifically, iPhonesoft’s post reveals which devices won’t be compatible with iOS 16. She says she was able to get this information from a source with insider knowledge of Apple’s plans.

As this source progresses, Apple will officially stop supporting the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE when it releases iOS 16. So it will be the end of the line for these devices. vintage from Apple.

As for the iPadOS 16, it will no longer be compatible with the iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad 5th generation and iPad Pro 2015. In both cases, this information requires confirmation from Apple.

iOS 16 will only be released in June of next year, at the time of WWDC 2022. At this event, Apple will announce all the new features implemented in its new software, as well as the equipment that will be compatible.

Although the models indicated by iPhonesoft do lose support with iOS 16, they will have a very long lifespan. Remember that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were introduced in 2015 and the iPhone SE in the spring of 2016.
