It is already known that Apple at its spring conference will launch several new products, including computers.
One of the most anticipated is the redesigned 27-inch iMac Pro with new features that users have long requested, but a new rumor suggests that the team will only arrive in the summer.
27-inch iMac Pro with new design and Apple chip
It is common knowledge that Apple is upgrading all its computers to integrate Apple Silicon processors. And by all accounts, the next to receive the aforementioned chip is the 27-inch iMac Pro.
According to journalist Mark Gurman, from the Bloomberg news agency, the well-known Apple computer will arrive with a renewed design and updated specifications. One of the latter will be precisely the integration of the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, similar to what is already happening with the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, launched in 2021.
Apparently, the 27-inch iMac Pro will also be able to integrate a mini LED backlight and offer a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
As for the design, the information released so far indicates that the 27-inch iMac Pro has a similar design to its 24-inch iMac counterpart, which already has an M1 chip.
iMac Pro launch delayed until summer
Rumors about the new design and specs have created some anticipation for the 27-inch iMac Pro, and users want to see what’s new quickly. But it seems that they will have to wait a little longer. According to Ross Young of
Display Supply Chain Consultants, the computer won’t arrive until the summer of this year.
It had previously been anticipated that the new iMac was scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2022, but it seems that the company will have delayed the launch of the device for later than initially planned.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his reliable insights into the Cupertino company, has already endorsed Ross Young’s new release date forecast for the 27-inch iMac Pro.
The reason for this delay is still unknown, but the growing demand for Apple laptops and tablets, which also include mini LED panels, as will supposedly happen with the 27-inch iMac Pro, could be the reason for the decision.
Apparently, Apple is carefully managing its components, feeding the production chain of products already on sale and postponing the launch of new equipment.
