Apple: the first iPad Pro with an OLED screen is almost here

In the week that Apple presented the new iPad Pro, there is already talk of the models that will arrive in the coming years. Strictly speaking, the issue is related to the long-awaited update to an OLED screen on these devices.

Much has been said about this transition, however, it is not yet known for sure when it will take place. Renowned display market analyst Ross Young says the first OLED iPad Pro will launch in 2024.

Sorry I was right about the screens not changing on the new iPad Pros… flex… 🙂 2024 will see OLED on both…

The iPad Pro with OLED screen will be presented in 2024

The forecast came to us through the Twitter profile of this analyst. So we have a likely timeline for one of the most desired updates to this Apple product line.

Note that Ross Young addresses this evolution in the plural. This suggests that there may be two versions contemplated with this improvement, that is, both the 11-inch model and the 12.9-inch model.

Still, I remind you that there are vague rumors that Apple could present an iPad Pro with a huge 14-inch screen. If so, this model and the 12.9-inch could have an OLED screen, while the smaller one would have a mini-LED.

Currently, Apple has included mini-LED display technology only on the larger iPad Pro model. A clear way to distinguish between this and the smaller model that still uses an LCD screen.

Considering that each generation of the iPad Pro is usually updated every half year, the transition to OLED screens could happen in the next generation. Something that will undoubtedly make many question whether it is worth upgrading to the new M2 models.

It should be noted that Apple dispensed with the usual pomp and circumstance of an event dedicated to the presentation of its new iPad Pro. Instead, the technology company launched the new models with a discreet press release.

If Apple is already preparing the introduction of OLED screens in the next generation, it is natural that the brand has not paid as much attention to the new models. This change will no doubt have dedicated event honors when it comes to fruition.
