The film received a 7-minute standing ovation at The Grand Lumiere Theatre. According to France time, this film was shown at 12:15 midnight beige according to the projection section.

When the film was screened at this Cannes Film Festival, Anurag Kashyap said: ‘It’s always special to show your film to the world at Cannes. This is a memorable moment for life. ‘Kennedy’ is very close to being a very special film for me. We have put our hearts and souls into making this film. I am filled with gratitude for the thunderous 7 minute long applause from the audience. I feel very excited at the same time.
