The creators of ‘Ukhta’ posted a thank you note on Wednesday expressing their gratitude to the audience for the overwhelming support the film received. The note also states that the film will not be released on any OTT streaming platform any time soon as they want ‘Unchai’ to enjoy a ‘strong and long run’ in theaters. The note was signed by all the stars and crew of the film, but fans noticed that Amitabh Bachchan’s signature was missing from the note.
They highlighted the director Sooraj Barjatya, the actors Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, Parineeti Chopra, the producers Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Mahavir Jain, Ajit Kumar Barjatya, Natasha Malpani Oswal, the lyricist Irshad Kamil and The music is signed by Amit Trivedi.
In their statement, the filmmakers wrote: “We, the cast and crew members of Rajshree’s ‘Unchai’, would like to thank each and every one of you for the immense love you have poured into our film. A special thank you to each and every member of the public, who visited the theaters with family and loved ones and contributed to making ‘Unchai’ an exclusive experience on the big screen. As Uchhahi enters its fourth week in theaters, we are proud as a unit. It is our heart’s desire that ‘Unchai’ gets a good and long run in theaters and therefore Unchai will have an online release very soon.
At the same time, users raise doubts about the absence of Big B in the note. One user commented: “Amitabh Bachchan autograph sir?” While another user wrote: “Why isn’t Amit Sir’s signature here?”
