Tokyo: A citizen opposed to the official burial of late former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe set himself on fire in protest.

According to Japanese local media, a citizen set himself on fire in front of the Prime Minister’s office. He was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. A police officer was seriously injured while trying to put out the fire.

Police say they rushed to the scene after reports of the citizen setting himself on fire, and found a written note from the citizen expressing his opposition to Shinzo Abe’s burial with official honors.

It should be noted that Shinzo Abe, who has been in the position of Prime Minister for a long time, was shot and killed by an unknown person during a rally on July 8. 2 shots were fired from very close range.

Doctors said that Shinzo Abe’s death was caused by a bullet in the chest.
