Update end, beginning of the original message from July 2023:
Amazon has launched a new information page for recalls and warnings. This new warning page appears within the customer account and only lists warnings and recalls for products that the customer actually purchased through Amazon. The customer now has a central point of contact where they can see all warnings and recalls that affect them.
The new page is called “Your Recalls and Product Safety Alerts” and is currently only available to Amazon customers in the US. With the new site, Amazon wants to make it easier for its customers to always keep track of all security-related messages about products they have actually purchased. The affected customers should also be able to immediately see all information about refunds and returns of the affected product on the new page.
As soon as a company starts a recall or publishes a product warning, Amazon sends the affected customers a personalized email with detailed information about the recall. Amazon also displays an “alarm banner” above the “My Orders” page.
This banner links to the “Your Recalls and Product Safety Alerts” page, where the customer can find out everything they need to know about the recall or warning. For example, you can find out what specific risk the product poses and how you can get a refund of the purchase price. Or alternatively: How to replace it or have it repaired.
The advantage over the previous approach
Previously, US customers had to go to the relevant websites of the product providers or sellers to get all the information about a recall or warning. Additionally, these third-party sites may require customers to enter their personal information to access product-specific information. This cumbersome procedure is now unnecessary, as Amazon writes:
With this new feature, we are able to directly reach 100 percent of customers who purchased a recalled product from us and provide them with clear instructions on how to proceed.
In the USA, Amazon’s sales partners can also use Amazon’s Recalls Logistics Service (RLS). Not only for notifying affected customers, but also for refunds on behalf of the distributor and for return logistics.

Location in Germany
The new service is currently only available to Amazon customers in the US. It is unknown when Amazon will also activate the new site for German Amazon customers.
