The 2007 iPhone was put up for sale at LCG auction house in Louisiana, USA. The box of this first generation mobile phone has not even been opened.
The auction house said that the highest online bid for a mobile was 63 thousand 356 US dollars. This amount is one crore 65 lakh rupees in Pakistani currency.
The owner of the auctioned iPhone, Karen Green, said that she received the iPhone as a gift in 2007. The mobile was bought for $599. He had another mobile, so he didn’t even take it out of the box.
Karen Green got the idea to sell her cell phone when she heard about a rare cell phone being sold for $40,000.
During a TV show in 2019, Karen estimated that the mobile phone would be auctioned for $5,000, but the phone was auctioned for a record price of $63,356.
