YouTube has progressively increased the number of ads on its platform. While ads can be quite annoying, YouTube has no intention of decreasing their number, quite the opposite.

Several users reported that saw 5-10 non-skippable ads in a row before the video even started.

Typically, these ads only last for a few seconds, but they can last for a few minutes. Longer ads have the option to skip after a certain amount of time.

Not only did the number of ads rise to 10, but the duration of non-skippable ads has also been extended.

There are several wires reddit where users are reporting more and more frequent and longer ads, and the number of reports only increases.

The only good thing about these 5-10 non-skippable YouTube ads is that they are not too long. Based on reports from multiple users, these ads last for 5-6 seconds. So if you do the math, an ad break of 10 non-skippable ads would last about 60 seconds.

YouTube has yet to officially acknowledge or say anything about the increase in the number of non-skippable ads.
