The golfers of the National Youth Tour of the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf) had an excellent participation in the last US Kids Caribbean tournament, held this weekend in Punta Cana.
The US Kids Golf Caribbean Championship was held on Dominican soil, in the majestic La Cana Golf Club course, where more than 140 players from the host Dominican Republic, United States, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Panama, Canada, Switzerland took part. , Costa Rica, Guatemala, Brazil, France, Germany Ecuador, Armenia, among others.
38 Youth Tour players participated, 11 of them won prizes.
Three local golfers achieved first place, they are Aydan Downer 74 and 73 (+3), Stefania Mosyagina 27 and 69 (-3) (third best score of the tournament) and María Fernanda Fernández 73 and 72 (+1).
Other backyard golfers who got good results: Rodrigo Huerta 75 and 73 (+4), Camila Yoo 74 and 75 (+5), Javier gubern 74 and 75 (+5). While Alejandro Balbuena, with 77 and 71 (+4), had the second best score among the criollos. In fact, in the second round he finished with -1, a score worthy of admiration at just 10 years of age.
For the third year in a row, the event took place during the week of Thanksgiving in the United States. The tournament was played in two rounds.
