With over one million smart locks sold in Europe alone, Yale is the European and global leader in smart home locks.
A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to review Linus Smart Lock and the Yale Sync Smart Home alarm system.
Today, the company announced the integration of its products with Bosch Smart Home and Home Connect Plus.
Integration with Bosch Smart Home
The integration of Yale Linus Smart Lock (see review) into Bosch Smart Home System allows it to be controlled via the Bosch Smart Home application.
In addition, the lock will be able to interface with existing Bosch Smart Home devices and services to make everyday life easier and safer for consumers.
Thanks to this integration, Linus smart lock will automatically activate the Bosch Smart Home alarm system when it is locked.
In addition to automations, closing the door can activate Bosch Smart Home scenarios. For example, the ‘leaving home’ scenario will cause various devices, such as the Bosch Smart Home socket or intelligent lighting solutions, to be turned off.
For complete peace of mind, they can be used timed actions, which automatically locks the door close to bedtime and allows users a peaceful and safe sleep. Meanwhile, the Bosch Eyes external camera monitors every movement around the front door.
To ensure optimal functioning between the Linus Smart Lock, the Bosch Smart Home Alarm System and the external camera, the “Access control” service that comes with it will soon be integrated into the Bosch Smart Home app, allowing for a seamless transition between checking who’s at the front door and opening the lock.
Prerequisites for enjoying all the benefits of Linus Smart Lock are the Bosch Smart Home controller, the Bosch Smart Home app, the Yale Access app for mobile devices, a compatible cylinder, and the Yale Connect Wi-Fi bridge.
Integration with Home Connect Plus
With Home Connect Plus, consumers can connect their Linus smart lock to different smart home devices or to complete systems of various brands.
Thanks to this integration, you can control all your devices centrally in the Home Connect Plus app.
For example, consumers can close the door in the morning with the Linus smart lock and Home Connect Plus can initiate an ‘Away’ automation to reduce heat to save energy, start the robot’s cleaning and security systems and even turn them all off the lights simultaneously.
The Home Connect Plus app can be used by different brands and is available for free download in all app stores in Germany and Austria, and soon in other European countries
