New smartphone Redmi A5 is here. Xiaomi just launched it outside China. It costs less than $80.
The phone has a big 6.88-inch screen. It’s HD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen can get really bright – up to 450 nits. It’s powered by a UNISOC T7250 chip. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can add more storage with a MicroSD card. The battery is big – 5,200 mAh. It supports fast charging up to 15W.
Camera and more
The main camera is 32 megapixels. It has an LED flash. The front camera is 8 megapixels. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the side. You can use two SIM cards and a MicroSD card at the same time. It also has a headphone jack.
The price is $79. That’s a great deal. Xiaomi is also launching a rebranded version called Poco C71 in India on April 5.
