Xiaomi returns money to buyers of the first Mi

Xiaomi’s first phone, the Mi 1, was launched in China in 2011 and was a historic launch for the company.

Now, Xiaomi announced that return the money to everyone who booked and purchased the Mi 1. According to Xiaomi, it initially sold 184,600 units at 1,999 yuan (260 euros) each.

The company’s publication in Weibo suggests that this refund is in the form of an online store credit rather than a cash refund. However, this is a good gesture by the company towards its first buyers.

Of course, you won’t buy another Xiaomi flagship today for 260 euros, but more affordable devices (and much more powerful than the original Mi 1) are available at that price.

This wasn’t the only news Xiaomi shared this week, as it also revealed the flagship Mi Mix 4 and a robotic dog named CyberDog.
