Xiaomi has long been expected to update its line of Android tablets. This should happen with the presentation of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, but a date for the event is not yet in sight.
Still, rumors about these devices continue to feed tech fans. On this occasion, we have the revelation of the main features of the next Xiaomi tablets, hand in hand with the well-known Digital Chat Station.
Xiaomi Pad 6: two tablets, two processors
Just like Xiaomi did with the Pad 5 line, its successors will also come in two versions. Indeed, we will have a base version for “common” users and a Pro version for the most demanding.
Therefore, the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be the entry version of this new generation and will come equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor. In turn, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will come with a more powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The processors should be the main differences between the new Xiaomi Android tablets that will share other details like the ones we tell you about. First of all, its memory schemes that will amount to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Its screens will be 11 inches with IPS LCD technology and a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. Both will be HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certified for a further enhanced viewing experience.
It is important to note that Digital Chat Station mentions two refresh rates: 120 Hz and 144 Hz. Without going into more detail, it is possible that the former is for the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the latter is for the Pad 6 Pro.
As for the battery, both Xiaomi Pad 6 will arrive with 67 W charging, but without specifying the capacity of their batteries. Common to both will remain the presence of a fingerprint sensor.
Now we have to wait for more information on the occasion of the presentation of the Xiaomi Pad 6. The brand will be present at MWC 2023, at the end of this month, and this would be a good setting for this revelation.
