Apple recently surprised the mobile industry. The Cupertino-based tech maker has announced that it will start selling iPhone users the official components they need if they want to do a repair themselves. This prevents them from having to go to an authorized repair center.
After this measure announced by Apple, it would be expected that Android manufacturers think about following the same path in the future. And Xiaomi, one of the most recognized in the world, may even be the first.
Apple will sell official parts to users. Xiaomi can follow suit
On the official Twitter page of Xiaomi India, the Chinese manufacturer published a tweet suggesting that it will bet on a similar service. “We care. For us, it’s always been about you. It’s about your experience with us,” it reads.
“We always strive to put you first. And now, we’re going to take things to the next level, just for you. We care. Stay tuned ”, they conclude. The publication is accompanied by an image where you can read “simplified services”, implying that it is something similar to the one announced by Apple.
Importantly, Xiaomi does not directly mention what this new product is about. But considering there is a lot of emphasis on streamlined services and “you”, it turns out to be self-explanatory.
If this measure is confirmed by Xiaomi, more Android manufacturers should follow suit. And for those who don’t have a problem doing minor repairs to their equipment, it’s a very welcome addition.
