Chinese technology Xiaomi presented a new device for its portfolio. Now, in effect, we have MIJIA 2 thermostatic electric kettlethat is, a new electric kettle with side LED display and diversified functions.
The new IoT product was introduced for the domestic market in China to continue the portfolio of smart devices and home equipment. The best of all? Possibly the selling price, 169 yuan, about 25 dollars or 24 euros.
MIJIA Thermostatic Electric Kettle 2 is Xiaomi’s new electric kettle
The new MIJIA Thermostatic Electric Kettle 2 has a capacity of 1.5L and can reach the boiling temperature (100°C) of water in just 5 minutes. To do this, it has an electrical power of 1,800 W to accelerate its heating element.
In addition, the Xiaomi kettle has a new STRIX thermostat to ensure more precise temperature control. It is thanks to this element that the new product can guarantee various levels of heating for different drinks.

The electric kettle is “smart” enough to know what it is heating. That is, the user can request different heating tasks, specifying whether it is heating tap water, purified water, among other heating modes.
Simultaneously, the user can touch/press the button on the top “Boil” to raise the water temperature to the maximum value. That is, to boil water directly, bringing it to 100°C as soon as possible with this direct heating button.
On the other hand, they can also choose different settings and temperature values. For example, from 45 °C, 60 °C, 80 °C and full boiling point at 100 °C, the maximum value provided by the new kettle.
Improved build quality and LED side display
Xiaomi’s new electric kettle was built with safety as a priority. In this way, the internal tank and the structure of the kettle are more integrated, avoiding cracks where water could enter during normal use.
In addition, the new shape of the inner lid was designed to prevent burns from the steam of boiling water that was generated after use. This was one of the common complaints from previous generations, which MIJIA is now trying to address.

The user also has a small side screen, with LED lighting and a round shape. It is very similar to what we currently find in their air purifiers, with similar features and monitoring functionalities.
