In a statement, world leaders called for permanent peace. It also asked Ukraine to consider providing financial, humanitarian and temporal assistance.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the G-7 summit.
After the meeting, Narendra Modi said, “This ongoing war in Ukraine is not only a matter of economics or politics, it is a humanitarian issue.”
He said, ‘The war in Ukraine is one of the crises in the world now. I don’t think of it as just an economic or political crisis. In my opinion, it is also a matter of humanity. The Government of India and I will do our best to stop the war in Ukraine.’
