The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the title sponsorship of the Women’s T20 Challenge on Sunday. Indian fantasy sports platform My11Circle has been awarded the title sponsorship rights for the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022 after successfully participating in the bidding process held on May 15. This year there will be four matches in the Women’s T20 Challenge to be played from May 23-28 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Until now, the Women’s T20 Challenge has been organized only three times. In its next year i.e. 2023, the women’s IPL will be organized and 6 teams will participate.
International players from South Africa, England, the West Indies and Australia will face off in the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022. Featuring notable players such as Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Shefali Verma, Laura Wolvaert, Sophie Ecclestone and Deandra Dottin. BCCI Chairman Sourav Ganguly said in a statement: “We strive to advance cricket in all formats. The Women’s T20 Challenge has always been the first step in that effort. The continued success of the tournament, both inside and outside from the field, it’s encouraging and we should be assured that we’re going in the right direction.”
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said: “There is no shortage of talent in cricket in India. The continued evolution of the Women’s T20 Challenge serves as a great platform for players to test themselves against the best in a tournament of world class”. tremendously and My11 Circle’s presence as title sponsor for the 2022 season is testament to this.
