Carlos Ventura scored the only goal of the game and Cibao FC beat Moca FC 1-0, in the semifinal match of the Dominican Soccer League (LDF), held at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra stadium.
Ventura made a spectacular headed goal after receiving a pass from Juan David Díaz, for the only vulnerability that the goals of both elevenths received.
The next game to define who advances to the final will be played on Saturday, October 1, at the Municipal Stadium in Moca.
It was Cibao’s first win this season over Moca, with whom he had three draws and one loss.
The two clubs battled fiercely for the goal in the first half of the match.
But, the defenses and the orange and aurinegro goalkeepers prevented annotations and went to rest with a blank slate.
However, in the 56th minute there was a masterful combined play between Juan David Díaz and Carlos Ventura, which produced the first goal of the match.

The orange club was left with one player less at minute 77, when Jean Carlos López was sent off for a double yellow card.
The Technical Director of Cibao FC, the Argentine Jorge Alfonso, left the goal under the protection of Miguel Lloyd, who also wore the Captain’s armband.
He completed the starting eleventh with Ismael “Pinta” Díaz, Julio César Murillo, Dairin González, Oscar Florencio, Lihué Prichoda, Jean Carlos López, Juan David Díaz, Diefry Mensú, Carlos Ventura and Charles Herold Jr.
The Venezuelan Jean Arlos Güell, Technical Director of Moca FC put “Kalimán”, Odális Báez as goalkeeper and the Captain’s armband to Richard Dabas.
The other members of the eleven starters were Córdoba, Kelvin Durán, Ernesto Trinidad, Rossell, Sena, Chala, Vargas, Rosario, Cabrera and Gustavo Ascona.
The other semifinal is played between Atlético Vega Real and Pantoja, who on Saturday scored a 1-4 win as a visitor at the El Cóndor stadium.
