Kartik Aaryan’s latest release film ‘Shehzada’ failed to do anything amazing at the box office. Now, the actor will soon be seen in Anurag Basu’s ‘Aashiqui 3’. The film will be a standalone sequel after the hit films Aashiqui (1990) and Aashiqui 2 (2013). Along with this, there are also rumors that the filmmakers are looking for the leading lady of the film and talks are also being held with actress Sara Ali Khan.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, speculation abounds that Sara Ali Khan has been approached to be cast as the lead opposite Kartik. If Sara accepts the film, it will be the second time Sara and Karthik will see each other on screen after Imtiaz Ali’s 2020 release ‘Love Aaj Kal’. According to the report, another actress is being sought for the film’s third lead role.
Let us tell you that in the 1990 film ‘Aashiqui’, Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal showed their strong performances and in the 2013 film ‘Aashiqui 2’, Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor played the leading roles. Both movies proved to be blockbusters at the box office.
On the other hand, Karthik Aryan’s film ‘Shehzada’ was recently released in theaters. Kriti Sanon also played the lead role in the film directed by Rohit Dhawan.
