The Shiba Inu community continues to try to persuade large companies to accept the SHIB token as a means of payment. A Twitterer called @ShibArmy1365 to McDonald’s if they would accept Shiba Inu. McDonald’s responded to the question with the following standard answer:
“We appreciate hearing your interest and continually evaluating the payment experience.”
McDonald’s responds to SHIB tweet
The unsuspecting McDonald’s social media editor most likely sent a standard response to the tweet. Chances are, they probably didn’t expect to get more than 1,500 likes on the answer.
We appreciate hearing your interest and continuously evaluate the payments experience.

SHIB fans also responded en masse with images of McDonald’s Shiba-based products, including a “Shib Mac” or “McShib.” Others reworked the McDonald’s logo with SHIB, pointing out that at least they already shared the color scheme.
Since McDonald’s currently does not accept any cryptocurrency at all, it is of course unlikely that they will be accepting SHIB tokens anytime soon. Still, the adoption of SHIB has increased rapidly this month. Crypto payment firm Coingate revealed on Nov. 11 that it has opened SHIB support to allow 500 of its merchants to accept SHIB payments.
