On the other hand, Turkish political analyst and economist and former Russian trade representative Ayden Cesar has said that Ankara will veto Finland and Sweden’s accession to NATO in view of its national security concerns.

It should be noted that discussions on the possible accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO were intensified in early April, and key members of the NATO alliance have supported this idea.

A majority of members of the Finnish parliament have already upheld the idea of ​​joining the bloc, and Sweden is looking at a similar possibility. The Social Democratic Workers’ Party will decide on May 15 whether to join NATO.
