Tripoli: 11 years after the assassination of the former leader of Libya, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, efforts to find his grave have intensified again.
According to Urdu News, the secret grave of former Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is in the headlines again 11 years after his murder, Gaddafi and his son and Minister of Defense were killed on October 20, 2011.
Muammar Gaddafi ruled the country for almost 42 years, his enemies call him a dictator while supporters and a section of the people still remember Gaddafi’s tenure with good words.
Gaddafi’s supporters accuse NATO of conspiring against their country and destroying its infrastructure.
Even though 11 years have passed since the killing of Gaddafi, the residents of some cities of Libya, especially in the southern regions, are openly expressing grief and fatigue.
Some people are of the view that it would be better to keep the grave unknown because once it is known, the supporters and opponents will face each other and the country will be in another fitna.
It should be noted that after the killing of Gaddafi, the residents of Misrata, the western city of Libya, took the dead bodies from the border and took them home.
They secretly buried Gaddafi, his son and the defense minister, and since then Gaddafi’s supporters have been campaigning to uncover the secret of these graves.
