Vladdy Jr hits a grand slam in the Blue Jays’ 20-1 win over the Tampa Rays

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had six RBIs and the Toronto Blue Jays snapped a five-game skid by beating the Tampa Bay Rays 20-1 Tuesday, scoring their last 10 runs against players who don’t usually pitch.

Guerrero put Toronto ahead with an RBI single off Taj Bradley (3-1) in the first inning, added another RBI hit in the fifth to extend the lead to 10-0 and hit a 423-foot grand slam as part of a nine-run run off Luke Raley in the ninth.

Guerrero is batting .300 with eight homers and 33 RBIs. His six RBIs fell one shy of his career high.

The 12 Toronto batters who participated in the game got a hit. The Blue Jays finished with 27 hits, their most since hitting 29 against Boston on July 22 in a 28-5 win.

Raley, an outfielder and first baseman, allowed seven runs and eight hits in 1 2/3 innings. He threw 27 pitches between 47 and 54 mph, striking out Guerrero in the eighth inning.

Panamanian catcher Christian Bethancourt entered with two outs in the ninth, allowing an RBI single to Daulton Varsho and a two-run homer to Danny Jansen.

José Berríos (4-4) allowed one run and five hits. He handed over a pair of walks and struck out five.

For the Blue Jays, the Dominican Guerrero went 5-3 with a run scored and six RBIs.

For the Rays, the Dominicans Wander Franco 4-0, Francisco Mejía 3-1, José Siri 3-1. Mexicans Randy Arozarena 2-0, Isaac Paredes 4-1 with one scored and one produced. Panamanian Bethancourt 1-1. Colombian Harold Ramírez 3-0
