Chinese smartphone maker vivo has just launched its latest budget 5G phone, the Y19 5G, in India. This new model is packed with features that make it stand out from other phones in its class. For starters, it has a big 6.74-inch LCD screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The display is also TÜV Rheinland-certified for low blue light emission.
The phone’s design is sleek, with a metal frame featuring a Rainbow Crystal Texture and IP64 rating, which protects it from water splashes. It’s also surprisingly light at 199g and thin at 8.19mm. The Y19 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for easy unlocking. The phone comes in two colors: Titanium Silver and Majestic Green.
Camera and AI Features
The Y19 5G has a 13MP main camera that can take great photos, even in low light. It also has AI features like AI Erase (removes unwanted objects), AI Photo Enhance (improves picture quality), and AI Document (helps scan documents). The 5MP front camera is also equipped with Portrait mode and Night mode. For added security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Under the hood, the Y19 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset made using 6nm technology. It has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone runs on FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The phone also has a large 5500mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging and Smart Charging Engine 2.0 technology. Other connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB-C port.
The Y19 5G is available on Flipkart in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for 10,499 Indian Rupees and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for 12,999 Indian Rupees.
