Virat Kohli’s Injury Not Serious, Says RCB Coach Andy Flower

Virat Kohli took a tumble on Wednesday during an IPL match against the Gujarat Titans. The incident happened when Sai Sudarshan hit a shot in the 12th over, and Kohli, fielding at deep midwicket, tried to catch it. The ball hit his finger, and he sat down on the field, clearly in pain.

Kohli didn’t have a great game, scoring just 7 runs before getting out. The Royal Challengers Bangalore also struggled with the ball, and the Gujarat Titans easily won by 8 wickets. The game was temporarily halted when Kohli got hurt, but he continued to field after getting some medical attention.

The good news is that Kohli’s coach, Andy Flower, says he’s fine. The injury isn’t serious, and fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

The incident occurred when Krunal Pandya was bowling the 12th over. Kohli misjudged a shot and tried to catch it, but the ball hit his finger and went over the boundary. He was in visible discomfort and needed medical help.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore started the IPL 2025 season with a win against Kolkata. They then beat the Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs. However, they lost their third match against the Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets, dropping to third place in the standings. Kohli scored 59 in the first match, 31 in the second, but only 7 in the third. The team’s next match is against the Mumbai Indians on April 7.

As Andy Flower confirms, Kohli is doing okay after the injury. The coach’s update is a relief for fans, and they can look forward to Kohli’s next game.
