Victoriano Arenas appoints a Mother of Plaza de Mayo as an honorary member

Carmen “Tota” Guede, a member of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo association, will be named an honorary member of the Victoriano Arenas club this Sunday at 3:00 p.m., in a ceremony that will take place in the stadium of that Buenos Aires team before the game against Midland by the seventh date of the First C Opening Tournament.

A historic member of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, Guede suffered on October 7, 1976 the disappearance of her partner, Dante, (a Racing fan), and her eldest son, Héctor (of Independiente). The Board of Directors, headed by Domingo Sganga, will participate in the ceremony; the team’s coach, the journalist Luis Ventura; authorities of the municipality of Avellaneda and representatives of all the clubs that make up the liaison table of the so-called “National Soccer Capital” (Racing, Independiente, Arsenal, Dock Sud and El Porvenir).

Victoriano Arenas was founded on January 2, 1928. Its headquarters are in Valentín Alsina, Lanús district, and its stadium is located on the Brian meander, at a point in Avellaneda, against the Riachuelo. Moved up to C in 2018.
