Micic was selected in the 2014 draft by the Sixers (position 52), but his rights belong to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who would be interested in the point guard fulfilling the American dream. The signing of him was close last year, but Micic renewed with Efes for three seasons, although there could be a clause that would facilitate his departure to the NBA this year.

Micic arrived at Efes in 2018 and with the Turkish team he has become one of the best bases of the Old Continent. His first team was the Mega Vizura, which he arrived at when he was 16 years old. He has also played in Bayern Munich, Red Star, Turkish Tofas and Zalgiris before ending up in Turkey.
