Team Vitality announced on Saturday the acquisition of acclaimed VALORANT player Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov for the 2026 season, a significant move that comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of current team member Felipe “Less” Basso.
The signing brings one of the most decorated players in VALORANT history to the French organization. Chronicle is widely considered among the greatest players of all time in the tactical shooter esports scene.
His signing follows a year where he achieved runner-up status in two major global tournaments, including the VALORANT Champions 2025.

Chronicle previously played for Fnatic since November 2022, a tenure spanning nearly three years. With Fnatic, he secured multiple major titles.
These victories include the Masters Tokyo 2023, LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023, and three stages of the VCT EMEA league. He also earned a runner-up finish at Masters Toronto earlier this year.
While Vitality adds a star player, the team has granted its Brazilian duelist, Felipe “Less” Basso, permission to explore new opportunities for the 2026 season. Less played for Vitality throughout 2025.
Less holds a contract with Team Vitality through December 2026. However, it remains unclear if the two high-profile players will share the same roster.
