USA: 30 years imprisonment for the Pakistani family who oppressed the daughter-in-law

New York: Three members of a Pakistani family were sentenced to thirty years in prison for torturing their daughter-in-law in America.

In this regard, the American Department of Justice has said that the Pakistani family kept their daughter-in-law as a slave in the house for 12 years.

According to the Department of Justice, apart from making the woman clean the whole house and cooking, the family used to subject her to physical and mental violence.

The in-laws did not allow the woman to leave the house for 12 years and did not allow the daughter-in-law to talk to her parents on the phone during this period.

The above-mentioned Pakistani woman was brought to America after marrying Pakistan in 2002. According to the American Department of Justice, the woman’s mother-in-law has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, while two brothers Noman Chaudhry and Rehan Chaudhry have been sentenced to five and 10 years in prison.

Apart from this, the American court has also ordered all the accused to pay two and a half million dollars in damages to the Pakistani woman.
