Universities for boys opened in Afghanistan

Universities for boys have opened in Afghanistan, while female students are still waiting for permission.

According to international media reports, after the winter vacation in Afghanistan, the university has opened and the teaching process has started.

Only male students are allowed to enter universities across the country, including Kabul, while the doors of universities are still closed for female students.

When the universities opened on Monday after the holidays, a large number of male students went to the classrooms and the teaching process started as usual.

Women have strongly criticized the decision of the ban calling it gender discrimination. The students have demanded permission to enter universities across the country.

Many Taliban officials say the ban on women’s education is temporary, but despite promises they have failed to reopen secondary schools for girls that have been closed for more than a year.
