UN: China on Wednesday banned the resolution brought by the US and India in the United Nations Security Council against the infamous terrorist of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. India and the US wanted a global sanctions on terrorist Abdul Rauf Azhar and his assets. Such a proposal should be agreed to by all 15 members of the Security Council’s Sanctions Committee, but China saved the terrorist by supporting Pakistan. Speaking to Reuters, a Chinese mission spokesman said, “We put the proposal on hold because we need more time to study the matter.” There is a provision for withholding of motion in the guidelines of the committee and many such listed proposals have been withheld by the members of the committee. Azhar was nominated by the US Treasury in 2010 and was accused of engaging Pakistanis in terrorist activities and planning suicide attacks in India.
China indirectly saved
A spokesman for the US mission to the United Nations said on Wednesday that the US respects the views of other countries. The United States values cooperation with its Security Council partners to effectively prevent terrorists from exploiting the global order to commit crimes. Jaish commander Abdul Rauf Azhar is the younger brother of notorious terrorist Masood Azhar and was involved in the hijacking of IC 814 aircraft in 1994. This is the second time China has indirectly shielded a Pakistani terrorist at the United Nations this year. Even before this, China had banned the listing of Abdul Rehman Makki of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Security Council warned that the threat of the Islamic State terrorist organization in Africa was increasing every day and that the continent could be the “future of the caliphate”. African security expert Martin Evie has given this warning. Avi said Islamic State has expanded its influence in Africa and that at least 20 countries are directly facing the terrorist organization’s activities.
