United Arab Emirates has given great relief to its citizens

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a 50 percent discount on Corona fines.

The move aims to encourage defaulters to settle their dues early.

National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced this discount scheme. Which will be effective for two months from Wednesday, March 15.

The fine went up to $13,600 (Dh50,000) for not following the UAE’s strict rules to prevent the spread of Covid-19, home quarantine rules and not being admitted to hospital.

Other commonly issued fines include not wearing a mask in crowded and certain open spaces, carrying more than the specified number of people in a vehicle and not following social distancing rules, which carry a fine of up to $816 (Dh3,000).

It should be noted that the UAE authorities have lifted all restrictions as daily cases and death rates have drastically reduced.
