UFC: Aliskerov Faces Boogeyman Challenge

Aliskerov, the new victim of the UFC's 'Boogeyman'

Robert Whittaker, not one for déjà vu, has struck again. Initially, he agreed to take on Khamzat Chimaev in a fight that few others would have accepted, then, with Chimaev backing out due to injury, Ikram Aliskerov stepped in as a last-minute replacement.

What ensued was a demonstration of his impressive skillset, which showcased his ability to dominate from start to finish. In under two minutes, he knocked out Aliskerov, highlighting once more why he’s regarded as one of the best middleweight fighters in history. The Australian, renowned for his striking, cleverly feigned and landed a devastating uppercut to seal the win, displaying an unparalleled level of precision in a devastating manner.

A near-immaculate record

With this victory, Whittaker solidifies his legacy, with only two losses since his middleweight debut in 2014. The first being to Israel Adesanya, followed by his knockout defeat to Jared Cannonier. Nonetheless, his impressive streak continues to shine, with 14 wins against 3 losses in the decade since joining the division.
