According to the police, the body was spotted in the water at the intersection of Rambla Francia and Sarandí, in the Escollera area. A witness who was in the area reported seeing the victim walking on the beach around midnight.

For instance, in the early hours of Thursday, March 13, the body of an older man was found in the waters of the Río de la Plata, near the rambla and Lorenzo Carnelli, according to the National Navy. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition. It was later revealed that the man had jumped into the sea in San Luis on February 23, claiming that a family member was “calling him from the sea.” Unfortunately, he hit a rock when he jumped into the water, which likely contributed to his death.
