ISTANBUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared war on the country’s interest rate system.

According to Turkish media reports, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the parliamentary group of his party (AQ) on Wednesday, said that he could not and will never go along with those who support usury.

Rajab Tayyab Ardawan said, “I have been a supporter of the interest system from day one and opposed to following this path. As long as I am in power, I will continue my struggle against such people and the interest system.”

“The government is taking steps to control inflation. We will continue our efforts till the end of inflation. Soon goods will be available to the people at lower rates,” he said.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the government is giving 25 percent subsidy on gas and 50 percent on electricity to domestic consumers.

He announced the addition of another ship for natural resource exploration in Turkey and gave the good news to the nation that the number of ships exploring natural resources has now increased to four.

He added that 3 drilling and 2 seismic ships are engaged in excavation in Rome and Black Sea to explore natural resources in the deep sea.
