Paksiatan: The Pakistan government is preparing a plan to deal with the possible rise of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Chances of a peace deal with this terrorist group are slim. According to a media report, the talks in Afghanistan between the leaders of Pakistan’s Tribal Council and the TTP hanged in the balance after the TTP decided to reverse the merger of the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. refused to back down from the demand.

Plans are being made to deal with TTP

On Wednesday, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed apprehension about the success of the peace talks. Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, acknowledged that the peace process is in an early stage. A source was quoted as saying that the government has been in talks with the TTP for months with the intention of reaching an agreement, but the chances of such an agreement are slim. In the wake of reports of sightings of some Taliban fighters in the Swat Valley, the authorities concerned are working out a plan to deal with the terrorist threat in case talks with the TTP fail. The report, quoting sources, said that the government has not exhausted the possibilities of talks with the TTP. However, caution is being exercised to deal with the rise of the TTP if talks remain inconclusive.

TTP had recently threatened

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which stopped the tears of blood to the Pakistani army, was an open threat by the local Taliban of the country. Pakistan’s military, judiciary and politicians have implemented the constitution instead of Sharia law. A delegation of senior Pakistani clerics had reached Afghanistan to hold talks with the representatives of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, but the talks failed. This delegation of senior clerics of Pakistan had gone to hold talks with the TTP representatives regarding the peace deal, but the Pakistan Army had recently killed two TTP commanders, due to which TTP got angry with Pakistan.
