Trump’s vice president will not support him in the elections: “It shouldn’t be a surprise”

That’s what Mike Pence, who served as Donald Trump’s vice president for four years, said will not support his former boss before the elections November in the United States.

Pence, who ended his own presidential campaign amid dismal poll numbers, told Fox News:

“It should come as no surprise that I will not be supporting Donald Trump this year.”

Trump card won enough delegates this week to mathematically secure the Republican nomination and will face Democratic President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 general election.

Pence served Trump faithfully but publicly broke with the former president over his role in the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. Pence assured that the former president urged him to help him overturn his defeat in the 2020 election against Joe Biden and repeatedly attacks him on social media because he does not agree with his plans.

That day, Pence, who as vice president held the ceremonial role of Senate president, oversaw the certification of Biden’s 2020 election victory over Trump.

He rejected Trump’s orders to delay or stop the certification It earned him an angry reprimand during the riots. Some rioters shouted, “Hang Mike Pence.”

Pence said during the presidential campaign that his life was in danger that day and he urged Republican primary voters not to choose Trump as their candidate for the White House this year.

The former vice president told the television station Trump articulated and pursued an agenda that was at odds with the conservative agenda which we ran for four years.

Pence ended his bid for the Republican nomination in October, before votes were cast in the primary.
