Tropical Depression #9 forms

The United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported this Friday that Tropical Depression #9 was formed over the Caribbean Sea.

In its public notice #9 the NHC indicated that This atmospheric phenomenon moves at about 20 kilometers per hour (km/h), heading west-northwest, and is located around 985 kilometers from Kingston, Jamaica, with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h.

They also forecast a slow intensification of the depression during the next 24 hours, followed by a more “significant” one this weekend and the beginning of the next.

Until now the aforementioned meteorological entity has not issued an alert.
