The Madrid municipality of Tres Cantos dreams of becoming a European City of Sport. This week the city receives the visit of five international judges who will review the sports facilities of the municipality and will also learn first-hand the sports activities that take place in the city on the candidacy presented by Tres Cantos.
It should be noted that Tres Cantos has devoted itself to the practice and dissemination of sport, emphasizing inclusive sport, and making a great effort to receive this precious distinction. In addition, in 2023 the city will host outstanding events such as the European Inline Hockey League or the Spanish Hockey Super Cup, numerous Orienteering Races and Raids, two disciplines that have been gaining popularity in recent years, and workshops and conferences such as “Three Cantos Pure Sport”betting on equality and inclusion in sport.
The campaign, headed by the mayor of the town, Jesús Moreno, also has the support of prominent sports figures such as the former captain of Real Madrid and the Spanish basketball team, Felipe Reyes, who has thrown himself into this project. Tres Cantos dreams of becoming a reference for athletes with the aim of becoming a European City of Sport.
