A star of the social network TikTok, Anthony Barajas, died this Saturday, July 31, after his injuries, just days after being the victim of a shooting at a cinema in Southern California.
Accompanied by his girlfriend, the 19-year-old was watching the screening of the movie “American Nightmare 5” on Monday, July 26, when a man opened fire in a movie theater in the city of Corona. The young woman, Rylee Goodrich, 18, died at the scene. Anthony Barajas was transported to the hospital where he was on life support.
The two victims were found near their chairs, CBS said. “At one point, one or more employees went into the cinema to clean up and that’s when they called 911,” said a few days ago, the Corona Police Department Corporal Tobias Kouroubacalis at CBS Los Angeles. According to an official, no one heard the shot. Police said the victims were shot in the head.
The suspect, Joseph Jimenez, 20, was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and robbery.
