36-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade has bid farewell to first-class cricket. Now he will never play Test cricket for Australia again. Wade played 36 Tests for Australia. This player played 165 first-class cricket matches. During this period, Wade scored around 10,000 runs.

Wade has said goodbye to red-ball cricket but will continue to play white-ball cricket. Matthew Wade could be Australia’s wicketkeeper in the 2024 T20 World Cup to be played in June this year. He won the lost match for Australia by defeating Shaheen Afridi in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Wade is part of the Gujarat Titans team in the IPL.

While Wade has 9183 runs to his name in 165 first-class cricket matches, an average of 41. During this period, 19 centuries and 54 half-centuries came from his bat. Wade took 442 catches and 21 stumpings in first-class cricket.
