In the early hours of this Saturday, employees of the Investigation Department of the National Marine Prefecture carried out a check on a Uruguayan bus from Argentina, where they discovered that two men were trying to transport weapons.
The two adults, one from Uruguay and the other from Argentina, had five extended magazines for a Glock pistol, an R15 5.53mm magazine, an extendable set for a Glock pistol and .44 9s on the seats of the bus -mm cartridges hidden.
Faced with this situation, the Montevideo Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office intervened and the detainees were transferred to Montevideo for the subsequent hearing for a suspected crime of illegal arms trafficking.
